Are we living in an age of ignorance?

We Unify’s Feb 24th event is regrettably another casualty of cancel culture

We regret to inform you that our February 24, 2026 Speaker Series will not be proceeding. We Unify did not decide to cancel this event nor would we ever cancel an event due to opposition to freedom of speech. We strongly oppose any efforts to prevent free expression in Canada and are deeply saddened by this development.

Our Constitution describes freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of belief, freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of association as part of the identity of our benighted nation. It would appear these freedoms are under serious threat.

While it's unfortunate the Edelweiss Club cancelled our Speaker Series, we have already secured our 2026 Reclaiming Conference venue to be hosted from April 24-26 at the Kelowna Events Centre. We'll be publishing details on speakers and programming shortly. In the meantime, see below for our 2025 Conference Recap as well as our Speaker Series Recap with Lauren Southern. He is the third Conservative the Liberals have picked up, starting with Nova Scotia MP Chris d’Entremont and Toronto-area MP Michael Ma”

BC psychologist says government ignored two decades of addiction research with decriminalization program

“The B.C. government ordered data to be destroyed before launching the decriminalization program. Then-housing minister David Eby was personally briefed by Somers in 2021 about a week before the government ordered the deletion of the data. Somers said he suspects the government had already made up its mind that decriminalization was the way they were going and his research was politically inconvenient. The B.C. Ministry of Health told Global News the deletion order was unrelated to decriminalization and it was because a data-sharing agreement had expired. But Somers disputes the need to erase his files and believes they could have helped the government avoid the situation it is in now”

Chilliwack pastor’s fines set aside for violating in-person gathering rules during COVID lockdown

“A Chilliwack pastor ticketed for in-person worship during lockdowns has had the matter set aside in Provincial Court of B.C. The Alberta-based Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms announced that both convictions had been vacated for Pastor John Koopman of the Free Reformed Church in Chilliwack. In 2022 Koopman was charged with participating in worship services in 2020 and 2021, violating the in-person gathering prohibition during the COVID pandemic”
